eufy X8 Pro Robot Vacuum Cleaner

This thing is so cool! We feel like we are living in the future lol I was a little worried because our floors are pretty unlevel and the hall floor drops off and I was afraid the vacuum was going to get stuck in the hallway but it doesn’t! It just acts like an off-roader and has no trouble navigating the different levels! We have a cat and a dog that shed more than I ever thought possible and this vacuum has been a miracle! It’s saving me so much time and that is something I really need right now!

We do not have any pets, so I cannot speak for the robot’s ability to clean up after them. But my wife has rheumatoid arthritis and I am now having joint pains, so anything which makes cleaning easier, especially when it avoids the need to scrub the floor, is a great help.

I let this loose on our apartment, which has a mixture of laminate floors, carpets and rugs, with some cushioning mats around the sink and stove. The robot transitioned from one surface to another without the least difficulty.

I thought I would find out what the robot could cope with; so I left things in the way. Chairs, my camera tripod, a few boxes, and an umbrella in the corner. This robot went round them all with ease. To my astonishment it did not even knock over the umbrella, and was able to navigate between the legs of my tripod, which were spread only slightly wider than the robot’s diameter. I even tried moving things around, to try to confuse the robot – but in each case it detected the new position of an item and found a new way through sections of floor it had already gone through before.

I could post you a video of this device going round and round the kitchen for several minutes – but I have cut that down to 42 seconds. For me the question is, how long will it take before I come to think of this as normal, instead of following the robot around being amazed by its ingenuity? I get quite intrigued by its whirling brush knocking all the loose dirt under the vacuum, as well. This device is a wonderful combination of software and hardware design.

I am very impressed. Maybe there will always be some level of floor cleaning which no robot will ever be able to do, but the vast majority of cleaning is just a nuisance that one wants to avoid. This robot will hunt down anything loose on the floor, and watching it is still a form of entertainment a week after I first took it out of the box.

This vacuum is reasonably quite and impressively powerful.
I don’t have pets, but I personally shed a lot. Also, My place seems to be perpetually dusty resulting in upset allergies. This vacuum sucked up every dirt and debris visible to eye and empties into a bag within the tower, keeping dust and odors totally trapped. It cleaned my living room and kitchen within 20 mins and never had to empty. I had to supervise and unstuck this robot a few times, but it’s thorough. Even though there is an added cost for the bags, they last up to 60 days and are well worth the extra level of clean. I didn’t find any instructions for the mopping feature but am excited to try it too. I almost docked a star due to connectivity issues, but this vacuum is outstanding compared to others I’ve tried. I’m very impressed.

I already had a cleaning robot a few years ago and I'm amazed at how they have evolved. This robot maps the area and shows the results online. It is very easy to configure the area I want to clean or program to start cleaning. The suction power is very good and meets the requirements I was looking for. I don't have to worry about emptying the reservoir as it accumulates dirt in the tower, leaving me freer to do other things. And I definitely recommend it. 5 stars.

The eufy X8 pro has immediately become my favorite vacuum robot. It has a storage tower with the base in which the robot empties dust after a cleaning job. It’s much quieter than other vacuum models that I have in the house. Although it’s a little louder when the dust is emptied, you’ll see in my video that my dogs were a little startled at that part. It also has an auto-detangling brush that I haven’t yet had the chance to test out in the long term, but with two dogs, a cat and my own long hair, if it works, it will be an incredible feature. The app has a number of great features to help navigate and manage the device. I was very impressed to see that the app color coded each room after the first vacuum job.
